Since most lefties seem to be angry the bullet missed, that somehow Trump caused the violence against himself, or that he must have faked it I realized something. This is a group that faked an insurrection, a whole lot of dirt, and Russian interference. They aren't complaining that Trump faked it, they are saying they would have done a better job faking it.
The more sane lefty friends of mine have basically said:
Fuck! The last thing the world needs is for Trump to be elevated to hero
So, what are the chances that Biden gets "Assassinated"?
It immediately occurred to me. Biden is no more popular to the establishment behind him than Trump right now, to the extent that I would have bet on him being the more likely candidate for assassination than Trump before the 13th.
A fake or real attempt on Biden right now could kill three birds with one stone - Biden gets replaced (with whom is another puzzle), but also the sympathetic narrative gets wrestled away from Trump and his supporters, plus they can paint the attempt as unjustified right-wing retaliation. After all they're already pretending that the Trump shooter was right wing, so toss in another right wing shooter for Biden, then what was looking a moment ago like a big pendulum swing back to sanity suddenly becomes conditions for an authoritarian crackdown on ebil trumpservatives once more.
Yup, I've been warning about this literally since the day of the shooting.
I also agree with Alex Jones' take. If they do stage violence, one of the targets will be black people. They're the most visible minority, the Dems love minority/identity politics, and blacks are a core block for the Dems.
I, sadly, would not be surprised if a black church or HBCU gets shot up by 'a crazed Trump supporter.' The left would love that.
Everyone needs to keep their wits about them; things have potential to get really fucking dicey.
