Initial impression was lone wolf. Leaning more toward deep state now that it turned out it was a rifleman on a roof, not a dude with a handgun in the crowd.
Initial impressions are always sketchy, but I've heard everything from 150 meters to "several hundred yards." If that wasn't shrapnel, that's a fairly decent shot and, depending on range, could be a pretty damn amazing shot.
Either botched or very unlucky professional job, is now my at least current impression.
The consensus seems to be that it was a dude who climbed up a roof behind the rally and had a clear shot with a rifle from around 150 yards away. Secret service fucked up big time, intentionally or unintentionally. Eye witness account is circulating on Twitter saying people were frantically pointing the shooter out to police for a couple minutes before he fired. We'll see if more info comes out put that looks to be what happened as of now.
Yeah, not explicitly pro-level, but still pretty decent to get that close to a killshot for a casual.
And, yeah, SS fucked up, one way or the other. Lunacy.
