They're changing the shot to remove the twin towers on the new york skyline. It's not as egregious as it could be, but it's still unnecessary.
I mean it's not specifically current year bullshit, but the weird casual memory holing of the twin towers ever existing in pop culture is still very much bullshit. There's nothing respectful about Stalin-style editting them out of old pictures like Marty McFly kissed the architect's mom. It's just creepy social engineering to stop people reacting naturally to innocuous reminders of what happened.
they don't want reminders of what we used to have
At this point it's either adults who are (usually) over it, or kids who weren't alive to grasp the significance. Pretending they never existed is the worst way to handle it.
That's more egregious. They're not covering up a bit of tit on an NPC. They're trying to make future generations forget what Islamists did IRL.
A friend of mine showed me the JP version is far more extensive in the ending. It shows realistic images of blacks getting nabbed by the police and homelessness.

PiRacY should be fully legal and encouraged for any product that a company refuses to continue to sell in its original unedited form.
I saw this Steam review for Shin Megami Tensei V that stuck with me.
"This game is a great improvement over the original release. However Sega it's a dick move letting me know I don't own my game after I've bought it and it's just a 'license'.
If buying isn't owning, pirating isn't stealing."
