Propaganda is an attempt to persuade the audience to see things from your point of view. And propaganda is a legitimate art form, with the best propaganda not even coming across as propaganda. But proglodyte slop doesn't even attempt to persuade anyone, it's only aimed at preaching to the choir.
So calling that slop "propaganda" is simply giving it way too much credit. One of the things that art and entertainment is supposed to be good for is getting people to consider points of view they'd otherwise dismiss, what with the mark of an educated mind being the ability to entertain an idea without accepting it. I'll even admit that the Soviets managed to put out some good propaganda in their day, and it's saying something when proglodyte slop is so utterly rancid and lacking in even the most superficial merit that it makes old-school commie propaganda seem refreshing by comparison.
Feel. because there is no logical data behind my assertion, only a gut feeling based on my general experience.
What I think unknownsailor was getting at there is that this is a weird little linguistic quirk, with people using 'feel' for 'think' more often in women’s circles, leftist circles, academia, the media and so on. 'Think' is the more masculine one.
I'm not going to have a go at you about it, or deny that if you're going to tie it to a 'gut feeling' then 'feel' might be the right one to use on occasion, but there's a trend y'all, of clap certain clap language being used amongst certain folks, and 'feel' for 'think' is one of the smaller sneakier ones that aren't as obvious as 'y'all' or 'folks'.
The old red pill/game blogs used to flag this sort of thing. And it does make sense when you see who uses each word more often, and the additional connotations of each word.
counterpoint: words have meaning, and I would argue the leftists and women's circles are using the words that they mean. that is because logic and reasoning in those circles takes a back seat to feelings. feelings drive them. when they arrive at a conclusion they genuinely feel that conclusion is correct. they do not think that conclusion is correct.
the problem is not the words they are using. the problem is with the way they fundamentally navigate issues.
I don't think this, I don't feel this, I know this because I too went to college and was immersed in this culture.
Bloody great comment mate, I think you might be right
