FYI, if you are in possession of illegal drugs and also normally legal guns you WILL be charged with gun crimes along with the drug crimes. their reasoning is that you have these very dangerous things around and are doing illegal drug things that impair judgement.
that is their argument, not mine, and it is the legal system you live within.
you will absolutely be charged with additional gun crimes. this happens regularly and it holds up in court. it is the precedent.

Also, I'm against "enhancers" in general. Charge the crime, not the thought or other aspect.
Drunk driver? Get fucked. Passenger with an open lite beer? Don't care.
"Hate crime?" Nope, don't care. Beat a dude? Charge that shit. Said mean shit while beating dude? Irrelevant. Charge. The. Crime.
"Terrorist?" Nope, don't even care. Detonated a bomb? Yeah, that's probably mass murder, fuck you.
Various gun possession crimes? Don't care. Shoot someone for a non-justifiable reason, yeah, get fucked.
And, no, you shouldn't be able to be fined for not wearing a seatbelt, either.
Charge crimes that hurt people. That's it.
I assume that one is more of a logistical thing, because otherwise you could drive while drinking and then pass the beer to the guy sitting next to you if you get pulled over.

Yes, but what I'm saying is that you could be temporarily below the 0.08 limit and heading above it by continuing to consume alcohol while you drive. I think that would avoid the breathalyzer, but is still a dangerous behavior that shouldn't be allowed.
Nick Rekieta (the youtube-famous lawyer guy) just got hit with that a week ago, child neglect and a shitload of coke and there's an extra charge for having guns in the house together with the coke. Kiwifarms has been going apeshit.
