As has been said, you have to have standards and values to be hypocritical. Leftists look hypocritical from our view, but they're not exactly. They believe in power, they believe in ends justifying the means. Even when their statements conflict, they're not precisely being hypocritical. Because they were never genuine in the first place.

But pointing out their double standards actually does help with their rank-and-file and with normies. Even the most die-hard normies laugh at their hypocrisy, particularly when it is brought with humor.
The problem most of the normies have is not a worship of power, though it's effectively that, but a Gestalt state. Disproving one element of their worldview doesn't switch it around, nor should you expect it too, as you wouldn't become a die-hard Senile advocate if someone disproved one of your beliefs. You should just increase the number of anomalies so that, like in a Kuhnian scientific revolution, they start to question their priors.
