Sorry but this is ridiculous. Why set yourself up to constantly lie to your kids? One will think he is much more advanced and the other more behind than the other and end up resenting eachother and you. Don’t underestimate the importance of honesty has on child development and security.
And another thing…. No one else will keep this lie up. Family and friends will point out the inaccuracy and cause further resentment.

Brought up this point with her. Her entire family’s on her side, this is what they’ve all been praying for apparently. I don’t know what to do.
:')
As always, everything on Reddit is fake, until proven otherwise.
Even in philosophy this is applied to what you see, hear, touch and taste. The greatest epistemological notions can't begin to state what the truth is without some shared notions which we have to agree on to find common ground.
There is no way some stranger's story with up and down votes made by bots, idiots and people with good faith in their claims should be anything other that a story.
Add scientific papers into that now too as they've certainly been undermined by citation circle circlejerks.
Unless we're talking faith, everything should always be treated sceptically.
I always say "I just made this shit up." I'm not lying to you on purpose, but half this shit is dry sarcasm so go look it up.
Either I pointed you to something you might want to learn yourself -- or, whatever, art that you want to watch -- or I didn't. There isn't some greater purpose to this posting than entertainment and general knowledge-seeking and trolling.

Stories on reddit are the same as the ones in advice columns. They're made up, but it might still be fun.
That should apply to everything online. Including my own posts. Treat everything with skepticism until proven true.
"Trust but verify".

None of this is true, you made it up.
