I had vaguely heard of him a long time ago but kept hearing more mention recently. Seeing people who can’t comprehend that people wanted to see Japanese protagonists in a game set in feudal Japan is sadly no surprise. Some even act like this was an organic choice and ignore what the former writer said
They completely comprehend it because that is what they were demanding years ago after Nioh was announced. They scoffed at the idea of a white protagonist in feudal Japan, but the idea of a non-Japanese protagonist is now fine because blacks are lower than Japanese on the progressive stack.
Except that in Nioh he wasn't supposed to be a samurai, just an Irish guy who chased an English sorcerer to Japan and teamed up with some Japanese guys to fight him and the yokai.
It's night and day different from ubisofts bullshit.
