Man, I know it's a meme, and I know he wasn't exactly how he's often portrayed, but I'll do the meme anyway...Uncle Ted was right. Technology is a scourge.
It's one of the big issues I have with the vax, too...there's no escaping it. It doesn't necessarily matter if I resist the vax, shedding seems to be a thing. I'm almost certainly healthier than someone who was literally jabbed, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm at least partially vaxxed...completely against my will.
Same goes for this nonsense. Doesn't matter if I meddle with the weather (I can't, which is another huge issue, the power imbalance, and the fact that the people with the power are retarded being another issue), some asshole in some fucking sciency facility will fuck up my weather for me.
Didn't Dubai just have a massive flood a few weeks ago that drowned their streets and killed a bunch of people, but totally not because of the cloud seeding?
There is effective land management you can do like planting certain trees in an area so their roots secure the soil better to prevent landslides to having underground tunnels like in Tokyo to prevent floods.
This stuff like cloud seeding, seems like on too big a scale that it's hard to control all possible negative consequences.
I was gonna reply with this to the other comment, but given that this is Indo, and the rampant levels of corruption and graft there, I would be entirely unsurprised if they just claimed "we'll do cloud seeding lol", and then expropriated the funds, without actually doing anything of substance...
Because it would be very hard for the public, especially in poor regions of Sumatra, to prove one way or the other, or to even know if the cloud seeding is actually taking place, I would imagine...
Versus something like building dams, or planting trees, or any other sort of flood prevention, as you say...
Are they still using tiny bits of aluminium? Indonesia will need some new expensive and mandatory medicine in a few years that: Helps fight bloody lungs and throat syndrome.
I hate these fucks.

Yeah, that was my first response on reading the headline. Seeding just caused a bunch of floods, so let's do it to stop floods!
Noooo that was gloval coo... warm... Err, I mean Climate Change!

I mean, the UK exists, it's VERY easy to siphon money away from infrastructure projects with NO infrastructure to show for it.
Look at their HS2 project..
