Former West Germany is way more pozzed than former East Germany, liberal soft subversion is way more effective than totalitarian repression.

Although you're right, plenty of "former" Stasi members would go on to shape EU policy towards wrongthink. So now Europe is getting more and more complementary hard repression with its soft subversion.
