The wannabe puritan luddite right-wingers are pathetic. Their idea of the ideal human basically amounts to becoming gardeners and popping out children like good farm animals. They supposedly reject modernity but they benefit from all the comforts afforded to them thanks to modernity. They are way too judgmental of people for all wrong reasons to ever be considered good people. Like at the end of the day it matters not whether you get enjoyment from taking a hike vs. playing a video game but they act like it makes all the difference about a person's character.
You are right to hate them and you are right to call them right-wingers. Many of these right-wingers would reject the "right-wingers" on this group for being "degenerate" because they like video games, anime or big titties. Personally, as time goes on, I'm starting to hate this brand of right-winger almost more than I hate leftists. Leftists are misguided but this brand of right-winger is willfully hateful and judgmental for the wrong reasons with 0 ounce of sympathy or compassion. If you think they're bad online, they are worse in-person. Not good people to be around at all because of their misguided air of superiority. Many leftists want to do good but don't know how such that they end up committing evil but you can tell they're good people deep-down whereas I consider these brand of right-wingers as willingly engaging in evil. I suppose at the end of the day the right-wing and the left-wing both have good and evil people caught up on the wing. This brand of right-winger you bring up happens to often have a lot of the evil ones as far as I'm concerned.

I think it would be better to say that this issue is more rooted in what defines a "right-winger". There are other pieces to this political puzzle that need to be included when making bold claims. Lethn reaches for the false dichotomy like many others and just calls on right-wingers entirely, instead of being more specific in his claims, and that's why he gets slapped around a lot.

I can't strictly dispute the many, but that's just because in a world with 7+ billion people that's a very easy bar to pass.
I would say that most leftists don't care about being good so much as appearing and being thought of as good. My experience is that even the more reasonable sounding ones are still willing to publicly support things they privately confide they think might be harmful rather than risk a tarnished reputation. Turning a blind eye and willful ignorance of the reality of things seems just as much a plausible deniability defense mechanism for their social capital as it is a genuine oversight.
I believe only a small minority of people who genuinely want to be good could experience present day clownworld and not think to re-examine some of the things they are told. The problem is that good people are now even a Western minority, regardless of political affiliation. As a group they forgot the only way altruism survives in a society is if they are militantly protectionist of each other first and foremost so that they can cooperatively outcompete the self-centered, and are now on the verge of extinction for allowing themselves and each other to be exploited and pushed out of almost all positions of power. Fathers failed several generations ago to sufficiently impart that even though living conditions had improved greatly we still don't have the resources to help everyone and if you value the future survival of kindness you have to make hard choices that go contrary to your good nature for the sake of the community.

I guess I'm missing something, because this type of person seems like an endangered species nowadays. The last time I can remember somebody crapping on video games vs. the outdoors was in summer camp and that guy is probably less militant now than he was then. Games aren't novel anymore, they're part of the background noise.
I also find that zoomers don't seem to have the strong defensive attitudes that millennials had about games. Puritan threats to gaming aren't credible anymore, and why get worked up about defending mediocrity that everyone kind of knows is goyslop anyway?
Well, I'm a millennial so there's still a lot of these summer camp guys and girls out there. You're just unlikely to encounter them as readily as you would have when you were younger. I remember 5 years ago when I was 30yo working downtown a major city with a bunch of other people around my age, if someone asked you what you did on the weekend and you answered "played video games", you'd be regarded as a loser. Everyone instead would talk about "went to the mountains, went camping, travelled to X place, etc..." or something to that effect. If you weren't spending your weekends going somewhere outdoors then you were a loser. Maybe that has changed but for some reason, I doubt it.

Yeah I mean sure but calling them worse than leftists? Your beef with them has to be bigger than anti-gaming snobbery.
