What really made me feel for the poor guy was the fact they just at one point casually mentioned how he can not sleep. Ever. Like, just think about it. There are chunks out of the day.. every single day... where he's alone left to his thoughts. Now consider how many days that possibly was all added together. Frankly, I'm surprised he didn't lose it more than he did. I know he doesn't feel fatigue, but man you come up with some pretty fucked up thoughts when you have NO real periods of actual rest... Just... hours upon days... upon weeks straight of shower thoughts.
Also, I know you didn't ask, but I personally preferred the first show. The ending was so much more thought provoking. Envy being their brother... the whole dual worlds, uh... the kid.. Wrath? I get confused because they did some name swapping with Pride. God, that reveal of him having his limbs was so good. Which again, same as you said, that was a real psychological kick in the nuts for Ed.
