It doesnt say they're texting already before she asks for facetime video. Just that he's expected to do it immediately if she asks and not just text her
That's clearly what it means. If you're not talking/texting with someone already, you have no way to ask them to facetime.
And we know it's not some crazy requirement like him needing to stay within 5 seconds of his phone so he can always facetime, because that would have been part of the article instead.
it could be her first text in the convo is 'facetime me'
