My thoughts exactly 15 to 20 years ago a cast of different races wouldn’t have even registered to me but now it’s a definite sign. One major example would be the Obi Wan show. Disney was mad that people immediately knew that the show would be about a random black female that wasn’t ever mentioned before
It's worse than that. They literally re-used the plot from Fallen Order that only came out in 2019.

Oh wow! Didn’t know that. I also thought it was odd when I heard Leia was in it because that messes with the lore and New Hope. The showrunner said she had to think of a way to include Leia. The EU book Kenobi has a much better story

They could’ve just adapted the EU book Kenobi. I guess it was funny seeing shills twist themselves into knots trying to explain how Vader and Kenobi fighting between 3 and 4 makes sense and how Leia going on adventures with Kenobi fits into new hope. Like I said before, they should’ve just had Leia somehow spend a week on the farm with Luke and his aunt and uncle. Shills would’ve said that makes sense.
