Moore was a great eye opener for a lot of younger people who doing basic research on his claims realized he was full of shit and then saw most “documentaries” for what they are, political propaganda
Exactly. When does he not bash white Christians. I remember Larry Elder made a documentary where he tried to get Moore to have a discussion about gun rights with him
He was probably my first experience with partisan propagandists who are so slavish to their cause that they don't even try to hide what NPCs they are. Definitely a major component in my de-normiezation.
I just saw this takedown of Super Size Me last night. If they are willing to lie about shit like fast food there is no way they aren’t lying about it all.
The doctor even mentioned it being odd that fast food did what years of alcoholism usually does, I remember watching that and thinking "well, glad I don't eat much fast food if it does that" didn't even cross my mind that he was in fact an alcoholic
The irony of this is that fast food is, in fact, bad for you. But not for the reasons they portray. It ain't the meat, salt, or cholesterol that are horribly bad for you... it's the massive amounts of empty calories, high fructose corn syrup, and mystery chemicals. Kind of like the rest of the Standard American Diet...

TL;DR: Morgan Spurlock was an alcoholic at the time and lied about it, which lead to the liver problems
