You know it's bad when pretty much everybody is in agreement he needs to get off the internet. I don't even think it's a twitter problem I think like most boomers he just doesn't understand the internet. This has been my experience dealing with normies RL especially.
Unless they're people who work in a specific sector to do with tech anybody over the age of 40 makes themselves look like a massive retard and it doesn't matter how educated they think they are when they're just completely wrong. Perhaps unsurprisingly I know exactly what it's like dealing with such people. The worse part is they will never be convinced and will actually try to have an argument with you about it even when all the evidence in front of them they'll just make shit up out of pride I suspect they don't want to be told by some teenager by their standards.
At least the fucking zoomers can use phones and understand tech to a degree even if they're useless at desktops. This kind of boomer sperging is exactly why I consider tech illiteracy to be an issue of national security. Here Jordan Peterson is, an accreddited psychologist, trying to pretend he knows anything about tech and have it regulated. Now if he was some kind of autist who enjoyed dabbling in it as a hobby quite a lot, then I might be convinced but no he's pulling all of this out of his arse.
Boomers and normies cannot be allowed to police the internet. Also this isn't even the first time he's been successfully indirectly trolled.
Its always funny people use this to prop him up, yet in regards to any other person its "lul social science" and endless mockery about how garbage the field is.
Because its only a bad thing when its people you don't like saying things you don't want to hear, I guess.
I agree that "experts say" shouldn't all the sudden become a good argument just because an "expert" says something we agree with, but the reason JP was such a threat (or at least perceived as one) is precisely because he undermined their "experts say" crap by being an expert and saying something else. Heresy is far more threatening to the orthodoxy when it comes from a member of the priestly class instead of some pleb. So it is relevant in certain contexts.
I do believe this, the more they start relying on tech and AI especially to try and do heavy lifting because they've middle fingered the younger generations the way they have the more they will be easily exploited.
It's not going to be Trump or anybody else, it will simply be fed up autists that will fuck with them constantly for shits and giggles 4chan style and we're going to see it soon where anybody who's used a desktop PC for more than 10 years will probably be ahead of the curve on everything so they won't even be able to track anybody the way they usually do.
I mean we've got sattelite networks up in space now and mesh networks have been a thing in development for a long time. You think a bunch of boomers are going to be bothered about learning that and how to track somebody? Nah, this is the internet's world, they're just living in it and think they're in charge. The AI stuff is going to be particularly hilarious to fuck with because I'm seeing just how easy to exploit it all is and a lot of it is buggy shit to begin with.

These are the people that run the world.
