Yea man, implying that tunnels are unique to specific ethnic groups is a totally rational take...
Who were the engineers that built those tunnels or do tunnels magically get built with nothing more than a spade?
If you read about how this one was constructed, it's unlikely that any engineers were involved, so probably just the spade, yes.
