"Talmbout?"
This bull is why I've started making an active effort to stop saying "gonna" and "sorta" and the like.
As a coonass, I refuse to let the niggers steal even my own fucking dialect from me. They done stole everything else and made my home a shithole. I'll be damned if they get to take the way I talk and make people associate it with only themselves.
You yankees do your thing, but do remember that, much like everything "black culture," its just generic Southern shit they stole and pretend was theirs alone.
How is it in Louisiana? I always was fascinated y that state and I would like to visit the swamps one day lol.
Miserable to live in, okay to visit. Winter time is usually best because you avoid the insane heat/humidity and bugs, plus the possibilities of hurricanes. Avoid Mardi Gras because its designed to trap and prey on tourists.
Get a good ol' boy to take you on a Swamp Tour, eat at some local restaurants until you are sick of seafood, then go home. Most other stuff won't appeal to you without having a childhood to get into it.
I went to NO in may and holy fuck the humidity. However alligator poboys, gumbo, and swamp gas slushes made it worthwhile.

Sounds like the way I view the Pacific Northwest. I greatly prefer Midwestern, mountain and Appalachian states but all my family is over here. Some friends still left over here too. Makes it hard to up and leave, especially in today's housing, and job market. Oh, and gas prices. Can't forget those.
I've been gradually shifting my speech to be more in line with how people spoke before 1960 and deliberately avoiding any negro slang.
Language matters. Unfortunately, we didn't realize exactly how much of a danger there was in allowing gay commies to insert their subversive vocabulary into public discourse.
