At the same time they complain about Hanukkah being cancelled/criticized, they hate on and try to suppress Christmas (from private Jewish FB group) (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

Its an interesting problem. Christmas is a foreign but beloved Holliday in Japan. In fact Christianity is viewed as weird.

So it really was an American decision.

Have you reserved your Christmas KFC, good sir?

I remember trying to have a thanksgiving in Japan. My friends thought the 8 pound turkey was enormous and we didn't have enough room in the stove for it. They had never eaten so much food in their lives and kept talking about fat Americans. I explained that it was also the reason why I am so much taller.

Well, yes. Ironically enough, most Asian varieties of livestock are smaller than their Western counterparts. Except for the Chinese and pigs. Those people raise some freaking massive pigs (Meishans)

In fact Christianity is viewed as weird.

Considering how its depicted in most of their media, it seems more like its viewed as awesome.

I wish Church was half as cool as Japan thinks it is.

I loved watching Christmas episodes on Japanese TV shows. Santa accidently released Golem into the city? We need a giant robot to battle it. Also, Santa is a hot chick.
