It's kind of funny because they hire a lot of artists, by taking this stance, they actually help choke out competition, because many of the most prominent fantasy artists very frequently work for WotC already. If a company using AI art is able to compete with them, they're stuck because they pay a lot for the art, so being anti-AI not only appeases the anti-AI insecure bad artists on twitter, but it also protects their bottom line.
