Woke is marxism applied to race, sexuality, gender. Basically you take the marxist class struggle and oppressor/oppressed and apply it to immutable identities.
The oppressor is always bad while the oppressed is always good, hence why discriminating against whites is considered moral while discriminating against blacks is considered evil.
This is why they can force minorities in settings that do not have minorities, they can even blackwash historical figures and add a disproportionate amount of LGBT2SIPQ+ representation while also call people to get canceled if an Egyptian character is a slightly less shade of brown. You can do what ever you want to white culture or white representation while any other representation is protected.
Woke does not require proof, you can point as much as you want to the history of slavery or that the gender pay gap or 3/4 girls on campus get sexual assaulted are fabrication they will still believe it. It also holds that the daughter of Obama or LeBron's son are oppressed while a poor white guy from Appalachia is privileged.
You can see the same double standard when it comes to immigration, white culture is bad and needs replacement but POC cultures need protection.
Now you take all the hypocrisy and absurdity that is woke and put it in media. It ruins anything it touches. Dr. Who special highlights what representing woke in media looks like, it borderlines on satirical of woke because of how absurd being woke is.
Woke as a movement should have died fast but minorities and women liked the new power dynamic so now we live in an absurd society, a clown-world.

If you talk to any left wing people they will tell you how bad blacks had it in US, they completely ignore that white people were slaves at the same time. There were more European slaves being sold to arabs then blacks brought by boats in US.
They also tend to ignore that black people would sell other black people in to slavery and that Europeans have done more to end slavery then any other. They literally went to war to end slavery.
Most care only about black slaves in the US and nothing else because they want black people to be perpetual victims.
