Most Japanese animes don't even want someone who looks Japanese in their show. Like I know what you're trying to say but these points you make are inappropriate and off the mark in this context, stop making me act like I'm defending wokies lol.
You are, though. I get it because based on your comments you're a Gundam fan.
But take note how Westernised the characters and depictions are in the trailer, and -- as Sailor93 points out, there is a LOT of diversity among the small group of characters they depicted, but not one looks remotely attractive or in-line with Japanese aesthetics. It's entirely framed from the lens of what Lefties want people to see Japanese media as when it comes to "diversity"... though, ironically, without any kind of East Asian physiognomy whatsoever.
The typical Japanese depiction of their characters are oftentimes visually aspirational -- characters you would want to look like, or characters you would want to root for. Even if they don't look chiefly Asian, they usually look beautified to the point of attracting the viewers' attention to them based on design alone.
That is not the case with the characters in that trailer -- who for all intents and purposes, look like general, Netflix-approved, Western-tier characters from any other establishment media made for "modern audiences".
Okay I think I get what you're saying. I thought you literally were calling out that the characters don't look 100% Japanese. Most Gundam shows don't even have their characters even looking like that which is what got me in that spiral.
Japanese series not a single japanese character in sight. Preach diversity lol what a joke
