One my cousins used to always give me the usual lines regarding the infestation of entertainment like "it's always been political/woke", "you are uncomfortable with female leads", "you are just mad because white males aren't in everything" along with all the other stuff everyone on here has heard.
The other day he called me after trying to watch the Obi Wan show on Disney plus and apologized to me because he said he couldn't unsee or unhear everything I had been saying. His preteen kids got bored with the show after one episode and he tried to keep watching but he said that it was blatantly obvious there was an agenda and that maybe I wasn't crazy when I said there was an obsession with diversity and less white representation.
I had already cancelled my disney plus when Obi Wan premiered but when someone told me that it was basically a Leia and Reva show I wasn't surprised. I remember hearing that it was originally supposed to be a show focusing on Obi Wan and Luke but the female showrunner said she wanted to include Leia (showing how clueless she was about the lore). It really made me sad to see so called star wars fans defending it by saying "well, it never said Leia had never met Obi Wan or him and Vader hadn't fought multiple times".
There is an EU book called Kenobi that is good. It is Obi Wan watching over Luke from a distance and getting reluctantly sucked into a skirmish between the Tusken Raiders and the local farmers. At least that author understood the lore he had to work with. Honestly Obi Wan could've been a massive hit.
Eventually, some insider will talk about what happened at Lucasfilm all these years. I bet the situation their is completely crazy and Kathleen Kennedy completely unhinged, Stalin style.
True. Also, I think whenever Lucas dies we will get his unfiltered opinions like when his ex-wife died. I think he must have signed a non-disparagement clause although the white slavers comment as well as telling the middle school kids that disney had moved away from his vision probably annoyed them.
I honestly believe Hamill must have been warned because he was crapping all over the Last Jedi before it came out and then changed his tune. Last Jedi defenders always reference that.
There are dozens of stories about how the execs and powers that be cover up for shit, all the way from bad writers to out and out crimes. And anyone who notices is either completely cut out of the picture (Johnny Rotten, Gina Carano) or is essentially shoved into a padded room until they crack and become compliant (Kanye, Britney Spears).
I think the "put a chick in it and make it lame and gay" thing is probably closer to the truth than anything else.

I think Kennedy gets way too much credit for masterminding the whole woke saga at LucasArts under Disney. All of Disney's divisions are doing the same thing -- Marvel, Pixar, Fox, etc.
Kennedy is an easy scapegoat; not that she's innocent by any means, she's as bad as the rest. But it's obvious there are a lot of ESG/DIE-style fanatics at all levels of Disney's gargantuan infrastructure pushing for this nonsense across all of their properties -- there isn't one section of Disney that isn't infected to the same degree as LucasArts, which is why it was so disappointing when South Park got a bunch of screaming monkeys who claim to be Conservative to latch onto this idea that Kennedy is the big-bad of the woke movement, and not the overarching establishment pushing this from the top-down across every cultural sector (including politics).
