They may have excised Scott and Knives' past relationship

God forbid a completely legal relationship with a running gag that the age gap still makes him laughable be allowed on screen.

Normal dudes might start to realize its a completely legal option to date older high school girls instead of just the sleazy creeps that do it currently.
