The only two of the main cast I still like on any level are Frakes and O'Meaney. Frakes is on the record as hating how the new wave of actors wants to "make the role their own", and O'Meaney has ripped Hollywood for how they make really racist stereotypes (all Irish have to have the same accent, act the same, etc.) while trying to portray themselves as being non-racist.
Oh, O'Meaney has talked about how the TNG producers wanted him to do a Cork accent (oh, laddie, d'ye knoo, t' tradeetionahl accent o' t' old Caintry?), and didn't realize that there were more Irish accents than that.
coughs So, I, uhhh, may have accidentally super-Irished his name. Yes, it's just Meaney. wait, what do you MEAN that not every Irish name begins with an O?

Is there even an "O" in his name? I thought it was just Colm Meaney.
