We are now trying merely to consolidate what's left in an ineffectual, pitiful sort of resistance that's limited to semi-public vaporings like this or small gains on the pop culture front or doomed political campaigns like Ramaswamy's. A Trump victory is the only possible future event that's halfway hopeful.

Normal people have been asleep at the switch. Now we wake up, look around, and see that the future is bleak.
