If you view yourself and your tribe as an oppressed victim, you can never be a hypocrite. Anything you do is fighting the systemic shmatriarcgyny hate care affirming shabblemubbo. So the magical negro trope is fair game, and not at all problematic like it was... 7 years ago. But, if an oppressor makes a film with that trope, then it is bad again.
