I remember Sebastian Anthony had just taken over as senior US editor for Ars and I asked him if he was going to do anything regarding Gamergate (He was Twitter chums with all the GamingProJournos!) and got a swift no from him as they don't dilly-dally in gossip.
Turns out they do, he didn't kick around with them for long and here we are - 9 years on and the last of anything resembling a journalist being cut from the scene.
I still read Ars basically only for their space/rocketry coverage. I get the distinct impression that their audience has shifted to Bay Area tech workers.
