Why is he acting as if becoming a Jew was an incredible achievement? Just convert, follow their traditions and religious obligations, and then you're one of them. After that, it's just a matter of giving it a bit of time before people stop giving you strange looks at the synagogue because they've never seen you before. It's really not that hard, or that impressive. Jews aren't special.
Idk how familiar you are with organized religion, but you need to be affiliated with some type of church body if you're going to convert, like a synagogue in this case. I mean you could always just say you're Jewish, but then you'd just be a crank.
Well, yeah. It's what I said in the original post. Learn their values and beliefs, start following the tenets, attend one of their religious establishments, and proclaim yourself a member of the faith. What else do you need? A member card?
My question to you was what more would judaism require, specifically. You claimed that it was a difficult process. How is what I said above different for judaism than for any other faith?
Apparently I look jewish to some people because I get questions like "what temple do you go to.' (I am not at all Jewish for the record). Like they don't even ask my religion first. I am mixed European, and I have a Roman nose, so not sure what it is. I guess just because I have pale skin and dark hair. (But again, half the people in Northern Italy look just like this if they don't tan.)
I have thought about using this power for infiltration. But these seem like well meaning people -- maybe old -- who are asking. I don't have anything against them in particular.

He wants to be come an Israeli citizen, not convert to Judaism.
Ah, I see.
Converting to Judaism is a long and difficult process. Probably easier to get US citizenship, even if you're a German homeschooler
How so? Anyone can just say they're one.
