Yesterday, after work, I went to the store to take just the flu shot, told the person injecting me to give me an extra bandage, which was branded with the logo of the store, put that bandage on in the bathroom, and went home.
Mom asked me where I went, I told her I took the shots, showed her the bandages, she asked if I had my card, I said I did but she never asked for it, and then I went on with my day.
I’m still waiting to see if the shoe drops and she asks to see my card within the next few days, but if that happens, I’ve taken all of you guys’ advice into account, but so far I’m good.
I did it this way mainly because my appointment time, but Mom wasn’t mad or anything that I went without her, last night was just a bit hectic, but hopefully it’s over for now. I’m still looking for places to move, as I definitely don’t wanna deal with this again, but damn, I didn’t know that lower income housing had waiting lists.
Fuck low income housing. Search room for rent ads. You aren't in a rush so you can afford to be picky.
Fair enough. I’m not sure if I’ll be in a rush or not just yet, but I’m considering all my options, especially since I’m not sure the situation’s over just yet. Once I know it is or not, then I’ll know how much time I have to actually do something.
You can find some real gems, but it's all about getting lucky with the timing of the ad.
It doesn't do much good to look if you aren't ready to move out within 30 days, but once you know you're ready, just keep checking local room for rent pages and see what pops up.
Either way best of luck.
You should definitely get out as soon as you can find something.
And let her know exactly why you're leaving.
Do you have a buddy also looking to go out on their own who'd go half in on a two bedroom?
If so then living even one tier above "low income housing" would be preferable. More likely to live among people who work too hard to cause trouble instead of people too bored/lazy to stay out of trouble.
agree. look at both though. with low-income housing your neighbors are going to be loud, annoying losers who like to start shit when they're high or drunk. you could go for roommates but that's a real PITA and you can get very bad people too. rooms for rent is not a bad option at all.
