Watching the RLM episode on this one was kinda cathartic. Watching Jay twist himself up trying not to be mad at the woke injection was hilarious. Usually he's one of the first to declare others manbabies for complaining about the ideology ruining beloved media, and now the shoe is on the other foot when it happens to a franchise he loves.
They have a good thing going. They don't want to get in trouble.
That, and the fact that their approach to media is based heavily on irony means its difficult to take suddenly take a genuine stand on something.
He thought Luke was good in Last Jedi? Wow
IT SUBVERTED EXPECTATIONS!!
Sad that modern day critics thinks that makes for good storytelling
They listed all the ways this film downplays God and the existence of evil, flashed all the """white""" producers and writers on screen, and then Jay exasperatedly complains he just doesn't understand why they did what they did.
