After a long delay, I’m hoping to bring back the movie club for at least one evening this month. I was thinking we could do this one of two ways, which is make everyone suffer through something truly godawful and mystery science theater it, or find a solid gem for everyone to enjoy. 9-10 pm eastern worked out before and the weekend before Halloween would probably work out well so vote on date and time like before as well as movie suggestions.

Dale and tucker... I still to this day sometimes grin to myself when I remember the wood chipper scene.
Nightmare on Elm Street 1 or 2, Halloween 3, Frankenstein, world war z
Halloween 3 was pretty awesome, shame they didn’t continue the original concept of having the Halloween movies be standalones
I know! Would’ve been so cool. Reason they didnt was because Michael Myers was so popular right?
I think there was a high demand for franchise slashers at the time, same with how Jason and Friday the 13th formed over time to create the hockey mask monstrosity he is known as.
Oh yea he originally had that bag over his head
Personally I'd recommend either Audition or if you really want to fuck with people you can do Irreversible.
Those films genuinely scare the shit out of me. Not as fun to watch but at least they are actually scary.
For comedy - horror I'd highly recommend Mandibles.

It is very strange, very surreal and very funny in a 'dumb and dumber' kind of way. Really enjoyable and not many people have seen it.
A classic 'horror' film would be The Fog. Just a fun old horror movie. Could even do the modern 'The Mist' in black and white which is also dope.
I've been watching schlock. Grab "Manos: The Hands of Fate" off of youtube. Then other movies like The Frighteners, Re-Animator and Young Frankenstein would be perfect for Halloween.
Everyone's probably seen Sean of the Dead by this point.
Sleepy Hollow.
Scream.
Others have already mentioned Slither, as well as Tucker and Dale Versus Evil.
Yeah, you can probably tell I prefer my horror with a dash of comedy, as opposed to straight shocker or slasher.
Eraserhead. Haven't seen it, but it's supposed to be good.
