Might be, mixing in Peter Pan to make it more hidden (it could a reference to Michael Jackson but I'm in the camp he was maliciously maligned as a pedophile by people who wanted money from him)
I'll take Corey Feldman's word for it: he said that Michael Jackson's house was one of the only places he felt safe as a kid, and he has been a long outspoken critic of Hollywood pedos.
I thought it was very suspicious that in life when he could defend him myself he wasn't convicted, but in death they are sure they found evidence. It could be, but that is too late for any victims.
So I don't see the point. You're maligning a dead man, and you're not saving anyone
You should look at Razorfist's videos about it, one of the key clues everyone points to is that MJ settled a civil case related to it.
The thing people miss out, is that because of California's stupid legal system, the civil case was BEFORE the criminal case, meaning if he defended himself in civil he'd have given away ALL of his defence before his criminal so was probably advised to settle the civil quickly so that criminal protection couldn't change dates or stories thanks to it already being revealed.
It was originally supposed to be about crib death yeah.
And all those folklorish creatures that cause that, or just anything coming around at night like the sandman have some creepy motivations like that. Like goethe's erlkonig, too. Similar thing, about a kid dying to a creepy supernatural being. Or is it just his feverish imagination?
I don't think the song is about that as such, but I do see why you'd draw that link.

wouldn't surprise me...
I think the thing I picked up from the video was the emotions; confusion, disorientation, fear, etc.

They said he regretted not defending himself in that case. But yeah I don't care about Civil Law at all.
In a lawyer sense, it was the right call to fully protect your client and their assets.
But court of public opinion, it's why people still call him a pedo. But then again, the public are retarded anyways.
Totally agree.

I would use the Sandman as the harbinger/servant of incubi/succubi type spirits ...
...and yes, I realize it's entirely possible I'm just reading way too much into the song, lol.
First Metallica I ever heard
You know what has disturbing pedophilia vibes? The official music video for Total Eclipse of the Heart.
no arguments there...
I like the song, but yeah, there's something...odd there...
