Still cracks me up how angry these people get when you suggest they create something original. People on Facebook got mad at me for saying if they were so hard pressed to have a black mermaid then just write a story about one. That shouldn’t be hard
Scene 1: group of black kids goes to the pool. One of them is actually swimming, the rest become suspicious.
Honestly that could make for a good Wayans brothers comedy from the 90s. In the style of Don’t Be a Menace.
I miss the 90s, when I could enjoy black culture without being a race traitor.
Agreed
They could have even made her friends with Ariel and revived the whole franchise for a new generation.
True but I think now they have overdone it with the black leads that a good chunk of people wouldn’t watch. Thanks to Hollywood any modern day movie or show with a black or female lead will make me assume it’s gonna be some race or gender lecture unless the lead is Denzel Washington or Morgan Freeman
Yea. I’m a life long comic book collector and while I know Stan Lee wasn’t perfect, he loved comics and I saw him at many conventions and he was happy to talk with fans. George Lucas has his faults but he loves Star Wars. I remember a Rings of Power fan told me I was not being fair because I criticized the show without watching. I said the showrunners and cast told me all I needed to know. Diablo 4 is that bad huh?
and yet Blade and its sequel are still two of the best Marvel movies of all time, MaGaWaRrIoR
