I don't know if they're wrong on children, since there may be edge cases where it's appropriate, but SSRI's shouldn't be illegal. They have their proper use and they do help lift the load.
I don't know about the USA's SSRIs prescriptions. I've heard rumors about them being prescribed too often and in too large a dose. However, SSRI's are not a placebo. They are not worthless poison either. You are dead wrong.
SSRI's helped me years ago when I was going through depression. They lift the load by mitigating the symptoms, making it easier to work towards fixing the causes. They are not stupid.

SSRIs practically don’t even have an efficacy better than placebo. They are worthless poison, plain and simple:

Maybe not “illegal”, but they need a near total shift in their prescription regime. And not ever to children.

No, they're stupid. Feeling sad is not a disease and medication solves nothing.

You can rephrase this with any other drug or consumption and it sounds moronic
"Heroin lifted the load"
"Cocaine lifted the load"
"Junk food and soda lifted the load"
An unfair comparison. SSRI's aren't addictive or even particularly pleasurable.
The sexual side effects made it worse
It does somewhat kill libido, at least for the first few weeks.
