Absolutely not, and this poll blows chunks. She should either be kept as is in the existing localization, or he should be a crossdresser. Based on GameFAQs' own link, it's very clear Vivian was never "trans."
Also, what the fuck is wrong with the Italian localizer? Everything else is bad enough, but they really went whole hog, huh?
An ex-member of the Shadow Trio.
She used to be a man,
but now she's a woman and
proud of it.
Also, I hate, hate, hate how the Overton window has shifted so dramatically, to allow these lunatics use of the zeitgeist.
Vivian is a boy. In Japanese it refers to him as an "otokonoko" which basically means trap.
Vivian clearly identifies as female in the Japanese dialogue. Stop spreading misinformation.
"Identifies as" is the stupidest shit ever, and I still kind of find it hard to believe people can trick themselves into seemingly believing such blatant lies, even though I've seen this nonsense for years now.
First person makes a concise and accurate argument of the Japanese character. Second person - a lunatic - says that because the character "identifies as" female, despite apparently every other character and record stating he's a boy, he's "trans." As if that wasn't bad enough, Person 2 accuses Person 1 of lying and "spreading disinformation."
"Vivian is a boy" and "Vivian clearly identifies as female in the Japanese dialogue" are not contradictory, both can be true at the same time, and it doesn't mean the first person is lying. It's just all so stupid.
The never address the difference, and just say you're being hateful and absurd, but if I identify as the classic attack helicopter...I don't magically become such, and no one would argue I could. It's just so insane and frustrating.
The thing is none of these trannies were ever women, and never got made fun of as a girl, ever in their entire lives.
The funniest part is that it's an insult to a girl. "You're a boy tee hee not a girl fuck you" the tranny brain, which is male, has to reject the intended meaning

It's like telling a boy that he hits like a girl. Boys don't want to be weak and girls don't want to be rough or ugly.
Exactly, and well said.
"I identify as a pit bull, so I guess you'd better get out of my face right quick ..."
Oh, good, I thought you identified as the other sex. But this is better; much more trustworthy around kids.
