Leaders 'never bound' by Conservative party members' policy ideas: Pierre Poilievre
On the eve of his first policy convention as Conservative leader, Pierre Poilievre reminded Canadians that he is not bound by the policy ideas the grassroots membership chooses to advance.
Looks like another LIB (Liberal In Blue).
People know how cynical I am about right wingers these days and I freely admit it but this borders on #NotRealConservatism and yes while technically true at the same time are there any actual right wingers that you can point to honestly in any right wing party? Even Trump really isn't all that right wing when you actually look at his beliefs.
Over and over and over again.
In Canada specifically, the actual right-wingers get thrown out of the conservative party. Can I point to any real right-winger anywhere in any politics of any place? Not really because I only pay attention enough attention to Canadian and American politics, both of which don't allow for it. Canada made the Proud Boys for example a terrorist organization. Why? Because they were growing in membership in Canada. You think Canada would actually let any right-winger organize? The government would label them terrorists in a heartbeat.
I agree, which is why I think the whole thing is a joke that we even pretend the conservatives are conservatives. If they're mainstream the Conservatives will inevitably stab us in the back for their own benefit because they're liars and if they're outside the system they're inevitably a glowie op just like the proud boys are. Which also makes it kind of ironic that Canada made it a terrorist organisation at all.
Why do you think the Proud Boys are a glowie op?
