According to Deadline, Lionsgate/Starz Response Manager Sommer McElroy sent an email to staff announcing that masks would be mandatory for the 3rd and 5th floors of its five-story building.
"Employees must wear a medical grade face covering (surgical mask, KN95 or N95) when indoors except when alone in an office with the door closed, actively eating, actively drinking at their desk or workstation, or if they are the only individual present in a large open workspace," the internal memo stated.
Science baby!
All Lionsgate employees will also be required to perform a self-screening before coming into work each day and stay home if they are showing symptoms of Covid or have traveled internationally in the last 10 days.
Traveled internationally? The fuck are they adding that on for?
If you combined N95 with additional PPE and used it all properly and only for short periods and removed the N95/PPE properly with decontamination procedures, it would reduce transmission. Know anyone that did that? Like I said, uncomfortable topics for those who thought their bit of blue paper was a magic charm.
It wouldn't reduce transmission even if you did all that. You could maybe reduce transmission with a full on hermetically sealed hazmat suit and scuba apparatus, but even then you're still going to be risking catching a minor cold.
Based on various studies of nurses in hospital settings, who presumably are following these procedures using N95 masks, there was no demonstrated benefit.
Arguable that they provide any benefit for any humans anywhere, since evidence for efficacy seems to be related to tests on mannequins rather than actual living, breathing, moving human beings.

One of these things is not like the other, but delving into that would raise uncomfortable questions for Branch Covidians.
They are all the same in that none of them actually work to block virus transmission.

i hope they have someone just standing there checking if it's n95
Third and Fifth floor are the only places covid can spread apparently.
that's where the uglies work
so wear masks and stay on even-numbered floors
Aren't the all on strike?
Or are these the AI departments?
