Perhaps it is. The question is, does anyone here think that they themselves and their families personally deserve blame and deserve to stay and suffer?
I don't fault some people for trying to come here, but I don't fault us for trying to keep them in their home countries either.
Also some people definitely deserve personal blame for the way their countries are now. If you're only after the almighty dollar, you are part of the problem and that describes more than a few migrants. They don't deserve to suffer, but they deserve to have to stay in their country and help fix it.
That’s a fairly reasonable perspective. The problem is that a lot of the people here are self-contradicting hypocrites who disguise their egoism and cruelty behind conservative morals that they wouldn’t apply to themselves.
Sure, that describes some people. The Overton window is an imperfect mechanism.
