There won't be a single voice app besides old versions of TeamSpeak and Ventrilo that doesn't harvest and store everything you say as well as your voice for use with future AI processing.
It all goes back to the companies co-operating with intelligence agencies so they can pass on the information if there are any requests and staying compliant with the new communications regulations that are being shoved through. Small indie devs like myself won't be able to deal with the cost of maintaining all of that, so unfortunately it's probably going to mean patching out chat or VC entirely or not having it in new multiplayer projects at all. This is regulatory bullshit and the corporations especially are trying to stay ahead of the curve which is why they're piloting this stuff now.
