My other half isn't much of a gamer but she has my old low end laptop and wants a co-op game that we can play together. We've previously played Minecraft together but nothing else, she just wants something we can play together.
Any good recommendations that are cheap and not graphic intensive?
You are not giving much info, in regards to what type of game so hard to give decent recommendation, it would also help to have some specs on the old laptop. But nonetheless i will try and give some recommendations.
You got stardew valley
Which is like a 2d farming/life sim in the vein of harvest moon.
You got overcooked A coop game in which the goal is to complete orders within a time limit (it is a couch coop game so if you got controllers you can play it on your computer)
Rimworld which is a colony simulator which got a mp mod, that last i tried it worked quite well.
There 3 quite different games.

Well then go full autism and try Crusader kings 2, the base version is free xD
A medieval dynasty simulator.
So pick out something you want to play and tell her she'll like it. Just make the decision for her and go from there.

Yes, it got proper Co-op, been a couple of years now, It even has couch coop now.
