I cancelled Netflix when Cuties came out (final straw) but I saw that they are bringing back Blavk Mirror. When it first came out I watched it because it was like a modern day Twilight Zone in a sense. Although at the time I wasn’t quite aware of “the message” but I remember that episode like Star Trek kind of opened my eyes because they seemed to crap on classic sci-fi and made the white make nerd out to be evil while the girl saved the day. Little did I know that would be the norm going forward. I remember a review from shill media saying it stuck it to all the white male nerds who think the height of pop culture was in the 80s (weak argument because of the constant reboots of 80s material).
Then there was that one episode that got a ton of praise due to lesbians. I remember being confused because there were much better episodes. I can only imagine what they do with the show now. In sure it will be purely for the modern audience
It quickly lost it's way from it's first and second series when it was showing the dangers of modern social media and tech on humanity.
Series 3 (the first American one) wasn't bad, although San Junipero or whatever was one of the most boring 44 minutes of my life. The only reason anyone pretended to like that episode was because wholesome 100 lesbians. Series 4 was just a bunch of "take that, people I don't like" disguised as entertainment.
From the very beginning, though, the show's quality was all over the place. The very first episode was insultingly bad, and it had at least one episode where the moral of the story is "men should just accept being cheated on".
The episode where she blurred herself right? I was on a black mirror subreddit back then and remember people getting attacked for saying San junipero was overrated. It won numerous awards for obvious reasons. The episode about social credit and people being banned was a much better commentary
The first season of Black Mirror was great (but bleak af). Second season onward, why even bother. Also, paying to watch TV? lol
Season 2 was pretty bland except White Christmas, but the first half of season 3 was decent. I enjoyed Nosedive and Shut Up And Dance for what they were. And I didn't hate Hang The DJ in season 4, though its ending is a bit cheap.
That seems to be the thing with Black Mirror though, there was only really 1 good episode per "season", and maybe 1 or 2 decent episodes along side it. Everything else? Mediocre at best.
I thought so too. I’m paranoid about sailing the high seas lol

That's such a weird take for someone to claim. I didn't get that from the episode at all and doubt that it was the intent. Maybe they wanted to make White nerds look bad but they could have swapped in any generation of pop culture for the same story.
But remember the shill media praised the Last Jedi for showing that Jedi don’t have to come from a famous family. Ignoring the many Jedi in the prequels or EU. Also ignoring that the Star Wars saga is specifically about the Skywalkers. So they will come up with anything. At the time I saw that episode I remember rolling my eyes when she commented on the skirts from the old sci fi show but overall didn’t mind the episode at the time.
Netflix writing at its finest lol
And every man in the episode is a soyboy, even the “bad boy” ex is soft and feminized. Meanwhile most of the female characters are masculinized girl bosses.
