Only know the story of adviceanimal.
Basically the current mods didn't want to go dark. Top mod came back after basically a year of being inactive and said "Hey, we go dark" and hit the button. One of the other mods petitioned to get top mod. He got it.
Basically the same thing that happened at the original KiA.
I believe the KIA incident was actually cited in some of those mod chats as precedent for "single mods can't go against the will of the mod team."
They're still whining that KIA hasn't gone the way of TIA and SJIA. Of course all know it's because they banned any discussion about trannies whatsoever because of Faggit's bad faith behavior surrounding the topic.
It did prove the mods right in one way though. They did manage to keep themselves open despite everyone else falling. All it took was becoming a useless figurehead of controlled opposition (even if they didn't know they were) and completely stagnant.
A true example of how surviving is sometimes the most pathetic victory you can take.
TIA and SJIA?
r/tumblrinaction and r/socialjusticeinaction. Those were the last 2 subs that allowed open discussion of the tranny problem and they got nuked for it.
Anyone know how the cat is? 🤔
