I was out of the loop, I thought invidious was another video hosting site. I didn't know it was a frontend for YT.
Well, hell, I think i'll be using this now.
yt-dlp will be next, just like the project that was originally forked from.
Then it'll be widevine for all videos and you'll need some hack chinese HDMI cable to save videos.
Buy a big HD, download anything you care about now.
JDownloader 2 can save YouTube videos. Just get the version that doesn’t have ads.

I used yewtu.be for a long time. you just switch youtu.be in the URL to yew
that says invidious on it.

I regret to report that a couple of instances I use have started throwing an error I've never seen before. It only started after I first saw this C&D so I suspect some are getting blocked. Alternatively they just need updating.
