It fucking sucks, I don't plan on giving up on the idea entirely of having a family etc.

Have you considered geomaxxing? I personally wouldn't bother unless I was willing to stay where I found her, but it's probably the best hope for men who absolutely can't go without having a family. I've heard of that working out well even in cases where the man brings her to the West, but it's not a risk I would take myself.
