I’m about to graduate law school, so “aspiring law student” is a bit worrisome. I suppose maybe it’s no worth worrying about though: while law schools have been eaten by all the same critical theory as undergrads and thus her insanity will fit right in, on the other hand law school actually still demands you work hard, and I can see her getting chewed up and spit out because actually paying attention in class causes her “anxiety.”
They could just say "extremely autistic" and leave it at that. Much, much less cringe.
It's sad what society is doing to these people. A few decades ago these people would probably have turned out at least somewhat functional, possibly even mostly normal...probably not in a group with a 41% risk of suicide, or whatever.
I remember when a stated goal of society was to look after the mentally ill, not encourage them. Same goes for suicide. It still blows my mind that Canada encourages that, for example. So fucking weird.
