Except the "user" is the State media of some of the most powerful nations in the world, the "admin" is the richest man in the world, and the "online forum" is one of the world's largest web sites.
Oh my fucking god. Two grown-ass dudes with big boy jobs laughing about a 69 joke while attacking the credibility of one of the main news organizations in Canada. How can something so destructive be so cringey at the same time??
I don't think it was a "69" joke. Sure, "69 nice honk honk", but my take is that he's just going off the figure they provided. A sort of "malicious compliance", if you will. Not that any of that matters to these people.
I don't see leftists disputing that CBC is state-funded, yet they're still mad about it being called as such. It's like they're immune to confronting their own bias.
Frankly based on what I've heard leftists say about corporate news in the past, they should consider it a badge of honor. Not long ago I watched a game review from a liberal guy praising a scifi game's vision of utopia but then he said it's not a "perfect" utopia because in-game news reports were sponsored by commercial advertising and obviously that leads to a conflict of interest in journalism... and somehow being state funded doesn't. (?)
A collectivist/socialist wants ALL media funded by the government, in addition to all pursuits of art, science, and a monthly UBI stipend for everyone.
