I'm not exactly well-read on the newest developments in evolutionary theory so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't there been developments within the past decade that have made people question the out of Africa theory? Pretty sure at some point there were competing theories gaining prominence. Could be totally wrong and confusing it with something else though, so someone more knowledgeable on the matter feel free to chime in.
The entire hypothesis of evolution relies on too many coincidental beneficial mutations in too short a time period for them to have occurred randomly, in our universe.
The number of successful mutations required to make a human being is would be depicted by dividing one by a number larger than the human brain can truly comprehend for the denominator.
I'm no expert, but I think those developments have been fossil discoveries that push back the initial migration out of Africa back to 200,000 years ago. Previously they thought it was less than 100,000 years ago. Which only highlights just how different Africans are from Europeans & Asians. I wonder if, had we been allowed to drift apart for another 100k years or so, interbreeding would even be possible.
