What's gonna be the argument, that after wrestling the gun the attacker was unarmed and therefore the shooting was disproportionate? Did the attacker lift his hands in surrender and was shot after two seconds of the owner thinking it over? Even in that worst case scenario, I'm not sure if it's appropriate to punish the owner.
An unarmed man is still a lethal threat. Anyone who disputes this has never experienced physical combat and should be disallowed from having opinions on the matter.
SMH the damn shooter didn't even give the other guy a chance to say "Shit, you got my gun! Alright my man, you win this round. No hard feelings." and walk away to become the model productive citizen he would surely be after that humbling defeat in fair combat.
