Watching it now, live (on tv. Tickets are insanely expensive, wrong city and it’s sold out, anyway!). It’s fucking insane. Red flags, crashes and engine blowouts galore!
Just madness, lol. Personally just hoping they get all the laps done.
Also, fuck Lewis Hamilton, heh.
They replaced grid girls with drag queens.
Why are you watching?
I didn’t watch any of that stuff. Just the race(s)…
I like cars, what can I say. 🤷🏻♂️
And watching open-wheelers crash at 200kph (and the driver survive. I’m not a psychopath) is far more entertaining than writing a paper on fucking seagrasses, which was the rest of my day, so…
Was just a good, brief distraction.
But I prefer local races (TCR, super cars, etc). More grid girls. Less woke shit.
I do actually go to those events, when I can.
They're all coming 1st in the race for diversity hires
I think it's more about having rich, connected parents (as it always is, with almost anything), tbh... For like, almost half the grid, their parents are both spectacularly rich, and involved in the team in some way...
But it is amusing watching Alonso stick right up there with all the young eeedjits, despite being a decade past his prime (arguably), lol...
But for Lewis and a couple of others? Yeah, your point probably stands...
Fuck Mercedes, though (cheats, sore losers, etc.), so who cares, ha.
I blame the post-1985 drop in IQs
Would have been better if more Mercedes had caught fire.
I was there in 2017 when the woke gay rainbow Holden supercar rear-ended the other bloke. Right at that turn. Jokes were had.

Thanks for letting me down again Ferrari.
So, did we get death race in real life thanks to diversity hires?
Is it worth watching compared to most F1 races? Usually its just two drivers "battling" each other for a couple hours.
I would say yes…
That does happen, sort of, but it is punctuated by crashes, red flag restarts, and, spoiler alert, the second-favourite (George Russell) having an engine flare out…
Just skip the “downtime” when there is a red flag, and then yes, I would say it is more entertaining than the average F1 race…
More entertaining than fucking Spa usually is, anyway!!
